Since last year, we’ve added an outright Car of the Year to our annual awards, but with 2025 bringing with it the first-ever Buzz Awards, combining the might of CarBuzz, HotCars, and TopSpeed‘s vehicle test teams, the Car of the Year category became a hotly contested debate for supremacy. Which car is the best car we’ve tested all year? How do you even measure that? How do you decide whether a Toyota 4Runner is better than a Mustang GTD? Is the best car of the year determined by price, gas mileage, performance, practicality, or a luxurious interior? The answer is all of the above, but also none of it.
