In case you needed any more evidence that the V8 engine has a bright future, General Motors is developing a new Gen 6 version of its iconic small-block V8 – and it’s putting serious money behind it to ensure adequate supply. First announced in 2023, GM is investing billions to prepare not one but several plants to build the new engines and their components.
