Mazda has just started testing of its first-ever dedicated electric vehicle. The automaker is spending $10 billion to electrify its line of vehicles, and a large portion of that is going to the platform and the car. The company’s CTO says that its new EV will be a real Mazda, with plans to launch the model in 2027. But according to the CTO, the automaker still hasn’t decided what that first electric car will be.
