- Lexus has released their latest December to Remember spot.
- It features classic cars including the LS 400 and SC 400 coupe.
- Brand has been running the iconic ad campaign since 1999.
Lexus’ December to Remember campaign is celebrating its 26th anniversary and it’s become so ingrained in the American psyche, the ads were mocked in a wildly popular SNL skit five years ago.
While December is still a few weeks away, Lexus has gotten an early start with a fantastic ad called “Over the Years.” It tells the story of a family’s journey as it begins with new parents bringing their daughter home in an LS 400, which first debuted in 1989.

It then fast forwards to another Christmas, where the LS has given way to a 1990’s SC 400. As the years pass and the daughter grows up, she returns home with her partner in a second-generation RX.
The clip then forwards to the present and they’re now driving a 2026 GX, which carries a daughter of their own. It’s a great ad that mixes Lexus’ past and present, while also telling a story of family ties.
Lexus hasn’t said much about this year’s spot, but they re-released last year’s “Letter” and “Forecast” ads on YouTube.
Neither was particularly memorable, but the latter highlighted the TX, GX, and LX. Likewise, Letter featured the NX, RX, and GX.
You can expect “Over the Years” to be prominently shown during football games as is typical of December to Remember commercials.
The campaign kicked off in 1999 and Lexus has previously said it ushers in the holidays with a “signature jingle, big red bows, and heartwarming gift-giving moments.”
