Apple announced three new iPhones yesterday: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo, its first foldable. With that being said, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come in eSIM-only variants in some countries, while the iPhone Duo is eSIM-only globally.
Here’s a list of countries that carry eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro series models
With that being said, we now know which countries carry eSIM-only variants of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, thanks ot MacRumors. There are 12 countries on this list, so not many, in all honesty.
Those countries are: Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This is not a surprise at all, as the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max were eSIM-only in those exact same countries. So Apple didn’t really make a change in that regard.
It is worth noting that the nano SIM variants of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max can still take two eSIMs, in addition to the nano SIM. So they are more versatile; that’s for sure, as you do get the benefit of having a physical SIM card option.
The all-new iPhones utilize Apple’s A20 Pro processor
The all-new iPhone 18 Pro models are fueled by Apple’s A20 Pro chip, the company’s first 2nm processor. They also include three 48-megapixel cameras on the back, and the main camera is the very first from Apple to offer variable aperture.
Apple includes iOS 27 out of the box on these devices, while the two phones have OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller model has a 6.3-inch panel, while the larger has a 6.9-inch display.
Both phones will become available to pre-order on Saturday, September 12. They will go on sale on September 18.
