
Since the Honda CR-V launched nearly 30 years ago, it’s been a staple of the crossover SUV segment. From its inception, each update and iteration has brought along new technological advances designed to build on the CR-V’s key strengths: safety, efficiency, and practicality. Though competition was sparse at launch, competitor pressure ramped up at a tremendous pace after the CR-V’s successful launch, with the world’s automakers all wanting in on the incoming crossover trend for a piece of what would grow to be a considerably enormous pie.
