Honda’s electric vehicle plans in America may have been scuppered, but the Japanese automaker isn’t fazed. It’s got a plan to ramp up its hybrid offerings in a big way, and has shown off a new V6 hybrid powertrain built specifically to conquer America. This new V6 and hybrid systems will arrive in the US in the next few years in the automaker’s larger American offerings, with candidates including the Pilot, Passport, Odyssey, and Ridgeline from 2027 onwards. At Honda’s Tochigi R&D facility in Japan, CarBuzz was given an early look at the new powertrain.
