Brake rotors are one of the most simple parts of your vehicle, but they’re also getting more and more expensive and resource intensive to make. Big hunks of steel or iron that only last a few years before they’re scrapped to be melted down and re-cast. BMW has an idea – per a patent filing with the German Patent and Trade Mark office – that could see the worn rotors from your track-day M3 Sedan brought back to life, though.
