Apple’s September event has come and gone. At the event, the company introduced its new iPhone 17 series, the iPhone Air, new Apple Watch models, and the new AirPods Pro 3. What was missing from the event were the new Beats Powerbeats Fit earbuds. Beats pretty much confirmed the existence of the earbuds in teasers ahead of the event, but Apple skipped the announcement. Now, new teaser videos of the earbuds have surfaced.
New Beats Powerbeats Fit teaser videos
The new videos were shared on X by @MysteryLupin. Honestly, there isn’t much in these videos that we didn’t see in the previous teasers. The colors have seemingly been confirmed, with the orange one suspiciously matching the new orange finish of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
One of the teaser videos does seem to showcase the design and comfort of the Beats Powerbeats Fit. The “leg” of the earbuds looks soft and squishy, suggesting that it might be able to fit more snugly into ears. It also hints at water resistance, as expected from a pair of earbuds designed for the gym.
There is also support for active noise cancellation, spatial audio, and plays nicely with both iOS and Android devices. There was some hope that the new earbuds would support heart rate tracking, but the videos do not confirm it. It’s a bit odd, however. Apple gave the Powerbeats Pro 2 heart rate tracking, and the new AirPods Pro 3 supports it as well.
This doesn’t mean the Powerbeats Fit won’t, it’s just that for now, we’re not seeing it. If that feature matters to you, then maybe you should pick up the Powerbeats Pro 2 or the AirPods Pro 3.
So, when is it coming?
In the earlier teaser, Beats suggested that the earbuds would arrive this fall. Since Apple made zero mention of it during its September event, we’re guessing that it will either launch next month or November.
Apple still isn’t done with its announcements for 2025. The company is expected to refresh some of its iPads and Mac computers. While it’s unlikely Apple will put on another event, perhaps we’ll get the official confirmation in a press release.
