
Crews are moving dirt at the construction site of a new Courtyard by Marriott in Bastrop. The 63,603-square-foot project at 1651 Hwy. 71 E. in Bastrop is scheduled to be completed by Christmas of next year. It’s expected to cost $10 million to build.
It will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, as well as a retail pad site next door
Community Impact reports just down Hwy 71 a dual-branded Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel is also in the works. The 99,798-square-foot hotel will feature a variety of amenities, including an outdoor pool and a full-service bar.
The Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel is scheduled to open to travelers in early 2027.
Bastrop is growing due to the expansion of Elon Musk’s companies. X, SpaceX and The Boring Company all have Bastrop campuses.
