Mitsubishi has been in a bit of a rut for the past few years. What was once a brand defined by legendary rally cars and go-anywhere SVs has now become a company with a small lineup and dwindling sales of those mdoels that remain, like the Outlander. But, this may soon change, as Mitsubishi plans to revive one of its most iconic names: Montero. This SUV has meant a lot of things to a lot of different people, so before its imminent return to the limelight, we thought we’d take a look at the Mitsubishi Montero and where it came from, and how it turned into one of Mitsubishi’s best nameplates.
